Shipped a major release on Thursday. Got the call Friday morning. Was given a "choice" between resignation and termination — but only one of those choices got an email queued before I could think. Access gone in 11 minutes.

Don't name your company. Don't name your manager. Don't name the HR partner. Talk in patterns. Patterns are protected. Names are not.

Every story here is reframed as a generic pattern. We are documenting industry-wide behaviour, not specific incidents. This protects both you and us.
Posts that name specific organisations, individuals, or that present unverified claims as fact will not be displayed. Satire only works when no one is identifiable.
Most people on this forum are still recovering. Treat them like you wished your last manager had treated you.
Talk to a friend. Talk to a therapist. Talk to a labour lawyer. The internet is a poor substitute for any of those, and an excellent substitute for none of them.
